| Pet A&E (or Pet Accident & Emergency) provides emergeny care "out-of-hours" for pets belonging to clients of participating veterinary practices in the Harrogate area of North Yorkshire.
When your routine veterinary practice closes their phones can be diverted through to Pet A&E. A member of staff will be awake and ready to take your call. They will be able to offer immediate first aid advice and make arrangements for you to bring your pet to the A&E centre in Harrogate for a veterinary surgeon to attend to the problem.
In addition Pet A&E is able to provide true hospitalisation and nursing care for patients that need it. Pets can be transfered to the care of Pet A&E whilst your normal veterinary practice is closed. Compare this to simply leaving your beloved pet in an unattended building overnight.
Each morning Pet A&E sends an email to our partnering practices detailing any treatment, operation or investigation that has been carried out on any mutual patient. This means that your own veterinary surgeons records are able to be updated to allow proper continuity of care.
Our aim is to work together with your regular veterinary surgeon to provide the best possible care for the pets you care for.
